CHAPTER 9:

" So far things are going alright. Now we just need someone to keep watch while the kittens rest." I whispered to Tiger. Brittany was curled up in a ball just like a kitten would while Chazz was sprawled out like a dead bird. Mmmmmmm, bird. That reminds me of turkey. Gosh I love turkey!
" We need to take turns so we get equal rest. Let's take turns so we're not up half the night. How 'bout 30 minute shifts? That should be plenty." Tiger took his turn to say everything he thought. We have a way of doing that. Sometimes it's impossible to shut us up.
" But we don't have watches." I implied. I think that's the word for it. I try to extend my vocabulary so I don't sound like a hick or reatard.
Just then I heard something. Too big for a bird. Wayyyy too big. Too light for a bear. Plus its winter. The're hibernating now. Crunch crunch crunch.
" You hear it too?" Tiger asked reading my mind again. Or maybe just the angle of my ears. [ for those of you who don't get it, my cat ears have a keener sence than my human ears, I can also move them like cats so they were tilted in a funny angle ]
" I can't see it. Let's wake them, we need to leave. Just in case."
